Monday
I ordered my Halloween DVDs for my fabulous spooky soiree. Ghostwatch, Horror Express, Cherry Falls, Inferno and Blair Witch Project are on the list. Then there’s Valentine, a horror movie about a group of girls terrorised by a geek they turned down at a dance years ago. I know about ten people that could have gone homicidal after being turned down for dances at school. They, however, are more mature than the maniac in Valentine. He’s grown up and wants revenge! He could be anyone they know! He could be their creepy neighbour, he could be the policeman in charge of the investigation, he could be their boss at work…or he could be Angel from Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Oh I wonder who it is. They could at least have made it difficult for us viewers to guess. David Boreanaz is the only bloke on the front cover of the DVD too!
Tuesday
My friend Paula Boutique organised a lunch for a group of friends and off I went to drink tea and be merry. Paula’s father has recently married a Chinese girl but she’s disappeared. “She’s been kidnapped and sold into slavery,” Paula said in the manner of a girl who knows these things. I sat there open mouthed until I eventually finished off my tea. I suspect she’s probably got lost in the city and is still there looking for a bus to get back home.
Wednesday
My commissioning editor (I’m in the process of writing a book but its all hush hush because I’ve been engaged in rewrites) had her opinion on the recently announced Stone Roses reunion:
Oh, blimey Stone Roses, saw them and they were shite, Ian Brown sounded really awful. I like Mani, and they had a couple of good tunes, but I’ll not be going. However, I’m getting very excited about the forthcoming Fall record, or whatever you youngsters call it these days.
Amazing!
Thursday
My DVDs were delivered. I’ve bought my Halloween decorations. Hurrah! I decide to listen to Overload over and over again and then The Smashing Pumpkins. I’m still deciding what I want to spent the money earned doing The A-Z Of Kirkland Ciccone on and I consider new ideas for my next batch of shows.
